[SOLD] 1970s Vintage Felca Rotomatic Hi-Beat Astovilla "Gargoyle"

Introducing
Felca Rotomatic Hi-Beat Astovilla "Gargoyle"
Circa 1970s

This fella may appear to be a little odd at first, but like most vintage pieces, it will grow on you. The large pin cushion case hails from the 70s, where watchmakers were quite adventurous in presenting timepieces in many odd shapes and sizes.

What catches your eye about this one is the deep dial and large tall hour batons.

They stand watch over the sweeping hands, moving at 28,800vph, smoothly making their way around and around the dial.

Felca has accorded a nice symmetry to the dial, and I do love balance when it comes to design. The nice square case carries around a beautiful sunburst grey dial, it's 12, 3, 6, and 9'O nicely inscribed with the marque's mark, date and model names.

The next detail you'll notice is a very nicely made bracelet. like tracks leading toward an assembly line, the stainless steel bracelet sits very comfortably on your wrist, with an stretchable clasp at the end to ensure maximum comfort come temperature change.

The Felca Gargoyle gives off a stoic vibe - deep, serious, institutional. As the towers watch over the sweeping hands, one can feel the passion of the marque in its timepieces. Very much detailed in this gentlemanly offering.
